Privacy Policy

The short version

• You can use every calculator without accepting analytics.
• We do not ask for your name, email address, or your dog’s identity.
• Your calculator entries are processed locally and are not sent to our server.
• Google Analytics loads only after you click “Accept analytics.”

Information processed by the calculator

The age, unit, and dog-size choices you enter are used by JavaScript in your browser to display an estimate. We do not store those entries in a database or attach them to a personal profile.

Optional analytics

If you accept analytics, Google Analytics may process information such as the pages you visit, general device and browser details, approximate location derived from an IP address, referral source, and interactions such as page views, scrolling, or outbound link clicks. We use this aggregated information to understand whether the site is useful and where it can be improved.

Advertising personalization and Google signals are disabled in our tag configuration. We do not intentionally send names, email addresses, calculator entries, or other directly identifying information to Google Analytics.

Your choice

Your analytics preference is stored in your browser’s local storage. Declining analytics does not limit the calculator. You can reopen the choice panel at any time:

Clearing your browser storage will remove the saved preference, and the site will ask again on your next visit.

Third-party processing

When analytics is accepted, Google processes analytics data under its own terms and privacy documentation. You can learn more in Google’s explanation of information from sites that use its services.

Data retention and security

Analytics data is retained according to the settings in our Google Analytics property and Google’s applicable terms. The website is delivered over HTTPS. No internet service can guarantee absolute security, but we limit collection to what is useful for basic site measurement.

Children’s privacy

This is a general educational utility for dog owners and is not designed to collect personal information from children. Please do not submit personal information through any link associated with the project.

We may update this page if the site’s measurement tools or privacy practices change. The date at the top shows the latest revision.
